Laboratory of Human Computer Interaction

The Human Computer Interaction Laboratory - HCILAB (hcilab.dit.uoi.gr) in the context of its mission aims to:
  • The provision of a suitable academic environment to fulfill teaching and research needs
  • Conducting scientific research
  • The organization of local and national conferences, symposia, seminars, lectures.
These Goals will be achieved by developing and activating the following work objects of the laboratory:
  • Perceptual Interfaces
    Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR)
  • Biosignal Retrieval And Analysis
    Brain Computer Interfaces Wearable devices, biosensors, kinesiological analysis, Polysomnography, human electrical activity, emotional and cognitive analysis.
  • Computer Vision & Image Processing
    Machine Vision, Convolutional Neural Networks, Image Analysis with GPUs and distributed systems, Medical Imaging, Digitization and Analysisof Histopathology Images (Digital Histopathology Imaging).
  • Brain Inspired Techniques
    Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big data analysis, Genetic Algorithms, Data mining, Smart Places.
  • Bioinformatics Modelling of biological processes, Biobanks, Genome-wide Association Study (GWAS), Pharmacokinetics, Study and analysis of brain activity.
  • Digital Transformation Technologies Social Media, Mobile Technology and Services, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, Robotics and Automation, 3D Printing, Cybersecurity (Cybersecurity), Blockchain.
